“The culture that my drawing was inspired by was that of the Jamaicans. Jamaica is a Caribbean Island filled with a variety of different traditions and people. A main aspect of Jamaican culture is music and dancing. As can be observed in this piece, there are 3 people, two are playing an instrument while one is dancing along. This piece depicts the importance of music in Jamaican culture, shown in a minimalist and vibrant style.”
