“In my panel, I draw from what I remember of my extended family's Taipei house - namely, the koi. The simple task of feeding koi is one that all generations can enjoy, transcending and blurring barriers, leaving what is most human: community. Utilizing the colors of the Taiwanese flag - Blue Sky, White Sun, Wholly Red Earth - I depict an ordinary yet personal aspect of my culture.”
